AII Conference Room, Australia India Institute @ Delhi, B3/70, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi 110029
About the Event:
BCCI is the most powerful board in the cricket world and rumors have it that it will stay this way for years to come. No one could imagine India becoming a world force in the cricket fraternity till the 1970s. India generates 75-80% of global revenues for cricket and this figure is only rising. The BCCI has been known to use its power to influence certain ICC decisions. This includes, scheduling, player suspension and ICC appointments. As India is a large market in terms of international cricket revenue, the BCCI's opinions carry weight within the ICC's decision-making process. Dr Amit Gupta, Associate Professor, USAF Air War College will unravel this discourse and provide an elaborate account on BCCI’s futuristic growth vis-à-vis the pressing challenges it is facing.
