Australia India Institute Chingari Small Grants Scheme

22 Mar 2016

The Australia India Institute (AII) ran a small grants scheme for scholars, practitioners or members of the public who required a relatively small amount of financial support to initiate a new project connected to India and/or the Australia-India relationship. Chingari means ‘spark’ in Hindi.

Three rounds were awarded for a total of 16 projects and $48,000 in grant assistance.

The Chingari Small Grants Program is now closed. We thank all those who expressed an interest and submitted proposals demonstrating the many projects developing in the India-Australia space.
