11 Feb 2016

The Australia India Institute (AII) and the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) are co-hosting the second National Energy and Resources Forum in Perth on Thursday 17th March 2016.

This initiative is focused on developing and sustaining relationships between energy and resources companies and stakeholders across India and Australia with a particular focus on the West Australian relationship.

The forum will be officially opened by the Government of Western Australia and Mr Andrew Forrest, Chairman, Fortescue Metals Group, is a keynote speaker.

Sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank and Asialink Business with support from the Government of Western Australia and Austrade, the forum and subsequent dinner will provide an opportunity to network and exchange key insights with companies and government representatives from the energy and resources sectors.

The first National Energy and Resources Forum took place in Brisbane in June 2015 and was highly successful in promoting the profiles of the AII and AIBC in the energy and resources sector. The forum, sponsored by Aurizon, Asialink and supported by Austrade as well as Trade Investment Queensland, was attended by over 120 delegates with high level Australian government, Indian government and corporate representation including the launch of the forum by The Honourable Ian Macfarlane MP, Minister for Industry and Science at the time.

This is an invitation-only event. For information please contact Marianna.sarris@unimelb.edu.au
