The Australia India Institute, in partnership with the Melbourne Disability Institute and the Nossal Institute for Global Health, invite you to an event to explore opportunities for an Australia-India collaboration in the disability sector.
Join us on 21 April 2023 from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM at Graduate House on the University of Melbourne’s Parkville Campus to hear from guest speakers including:
- Sh Rajeev Sharma, Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of People with Disability
- Professor Ajay Mahal, Nossal Institute for Global Health
- The Hon Lisa Singh, CEO, Australia India Institute
- Prof Nathan Grills, The Nossal Institute for Global Health and Australia India Institute
The event will include a panel discussion about ongoing and future projects and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and explore future opportunities for collaboration in the field of disability research and programs.
Further, we are pleased to announce that we will launch a report on “The Economic Case for Investing in Disability,” prepared by the Nossal Institute, CBM India and the Melbourne Disability Institute, with support from the Australia India Institute, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Department of Empowerment of People with Disability.
