Dr Karen Barker leads government project delivery at the Australia India Institute, with a focus on projects supporting the bilateral education relationship. She also oversees the Institute’s operations including strategy and planning.
With over a decade of experience in international education, Dr Barker previously led the International Partnerships team at the University of Melbourne. She has worked in a strategic planning and operational management role at the divisional level at the University of Melbourne and as a contract solicitor at the Australian Government Solicitor’s Office.
Dr Barker has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University. She obtained a Bachelor of Letters, Masters in Tertiary Education Management and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.
