Michaela Jansens is the Communications and Events Coordinator for the Australia India Institute and is currently a Juris Doctor Candidate at the University of Melbourne. Michaela has coordinated several track 1.5 Dialogues across Australia, India and Fiji, building partnerships and working with other universities, ministerial offices and government officials. In 2025, Michaela received the University of Melbourne Chancellery (Global, Culture and Engagement) award for ‘Outstanding Results’ in recognition of her work at the Institute. Before the Institute, she worked as the Chief Marketing Officer for international development organisation, Oaktree, and worked with communities across the Indo-Pacific to amplify youth-led projects in Tonga, Cambodia, Timor Leste and Indonesia. During her time at Melbourne Law School, she won the Corrs Chambers Westgarth Negotiations competition and worked at the Climate Resilience Clinic.
