The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) Director General Dr Vibha Dhawan has delivered the Australia India Institute 2026 Annual Oration, with a focus on gender equality and women’s leadership and innovation in the Australia-India Partnership.
Now in its tenth year, the Australia India Institute’s Annual Oration convenes policymakers, academics, industry leaders, and diplomats to advance strategic dialogue, foster business opportunities, and celebrate cultural exchange – strengthening both institutional and people-to-people ties between Australia and India.
‘Powering Change: Women’s Leadership, Innovation and the Australia India Partnership’ was delivered by Dr Dhawan at the Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi on Friday October 9, with opening remarks provided by the University of Melbourne’s Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Moira O’Bryan and closing remarks by Counsellor (Resources, Energy and Climate Change), Australian High Commission, New Delhi, Ms Jane Edquist.
Australia India Institute CEO The Hon. “We are grateful for Dr Dhawan sharing her reflections as a distinguished women leader in the Australia-India relationship, and as a pioneer in the clean energy space,” Ms Singh said.
