As part of the Australia India Institute Insights Series, Dr. Robert Mizo, a visiting Japan Foundation Fellow from the University of Delhi discussed the critical intersection of maritime security and climate change.
The lecture explored how climate-related challenges are reshaping security paradigms in the Indo-Pacific region. Dr. Mizo will also highlighted potential collaborative approaches between Australia, India, and other regional partners to address these pressing environmental security concerns.
The Consul General of Japan, Melbourne, Mr Tokuro Furuya delivered the closing remarks for the event.

Robert Mizo is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delhi, India. He holds a PhD in Climate Policy studies. His research interests include Climate Change and Security, Climate Politics, Environmental Security, and International Environmental Politics. He has published and presented on the above topics at both national and international platforms. Robert has recently been a Japan Foundation Indo-Pacific Partnership (JFIPP) Research Fellow based at the Toda Peace Institute, Tokyo.
