The Institute was pleased to launch a preview of our landmark report ‘Building a Resilient Australia India Relationship: Options for the Next Decade’ in partnership with the Council for Strategic and Defense Research at the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Global Centre – Delhi.
The preview event shared ideas for the impending release of the report, focusing on cooperation of the Australia India defence relationship in the next decade.
Moderated by CEO The Hon. Lisa Singh, authors Kim Heriot-Darragh and Dr Gaurav Saini spoke on a panel to the growth of the Australia India defence relationship and how strategic developments in the region will accelerate the untapped potential of the bilateral relationship.
Australian Deputy High Commissioner to India, Mr Nick McCaffrey and Vice Admiral Chawla provided an Australian and Indian perspective on the defence relationship in the Indo-Pacific region underscoring the mutual need for further collaboration.
